Dr. Matthew Hoggatt

Bio
Dr. Matthew Hoggatt serves as an Instructor in the School of Criminal Justice, Forensic Science, and Security at ÍøÆسԹÏ’s Gulf Park Campus. Prior to joining the faculty at ÍøÆسԹÏ, Matthew worked for three years at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College as a criminal justice instructor and program coordinator. Dr. Hoggatt has served in various law enforcement positions since 1999, including patrol, community policing, and felony investigations. Dr. Hoggatt also serves as Mississippi's Team ADAM Consultant for the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, as well as a consultant for the DNA Doe Project, a non profit organization which uses investigative genetic genealogy to identify previously unidentified human remains. Dr. Hoggatt earned a BA degree from ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï as part of the Complete to Compete (C2C) program in 2018, a Master’s in Criminal Justice from William Carey University in 2020, and a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice from Liberty University in 2025.
