After becoming the first Registered Teacher Apprenticeship program in the state of Mississippi in 2024, ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï was awarded an Apprenticeship Building America grant worth $3.8 million from the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) Employment and Training Administration.
Students enrolled in ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï’s may be eligible for funding and support through the Apprenticeship Building America grant program.
Apprentice Benefits
Individuals enrolled in ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï's TAP pathway who are employed by our district partners may be eligible for apprentice benefits such as:

- Online coursework through
- Scholarships of $250 or more per semester (based on financial need)
- Paid Praxis exam fees
- Differentiated student supports
- Focused ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï support and professional development
District Benefits
Incentive funding is available to support this "grow your own" effort in teacher workforce development. Incentive funds can be utilized for:

- Professional development
- Mentor stipends
- Apprentice recruitment, training and on-boarding
